Jedro (in Serbian) means core; healthy; stretched canvas on the ship’s mast. In the name of the project, the very goal was to enable children and young people to be visible, in the center of attention in order to point out their potential and their rights to express themselves artistically and be equal bearers of cultural events.
Jedro was a project with the idea of bringing different groups of children and young people together in a constructed artistic and social space, in order to create communication between them, as well as different cultural institutions and organizations. Connecting young professional musicians and dancers with hearing-impaired children, children from the general population, young people with mental disabilities, and groups of young people with physical disabilities and their peers.
The project included a contemporary dance and contemporary music workshop, a multimedia workshop for hearing-impaired children, a multimedia workshop for children from economically disadvantaged families, a multimedia workshop for young people with mental disabilities from the “Milan Petrovic” daycare center, and a multimedia workshop for young people with physical disabilities and their peers from the general population.

The project resulted in performances and a documentary film.
